Body Vibrations During Meditation: Causes & Explanation

Vibrations, humming, tingles, and buzzing in the body are to be expected at different times on your meditative journey. I’ve experienced all kinds of strange energy in my body while meditating and practicing other spiritual techniques. Here’s the basic reason it happens: You may simply be tapping into bodily sensations like your heartbeat. It’s also very possible that you’re awakening specific types of spiritual energy in your body. This can happen when chakras become activated, kundalini awakens, or when you begin shifting into the astral. In almost all of these scenarios you are perfectly safe. Why your body is vibrating during meditation There are so many possible causes of body vibrations during meditation. We’ll start off by discussing the most mundane and likely causes of this body buzzing. Later we’ll discuss what it means in specific locations in the body. You are feeling your heartbeat The simplest explanation for feeling vibrations in your body is that you’re becoming aware of the sensations of the heart. Your heart can create vibrations in your chest and body. The blood being pushed around your vessels can cause a subtle buzzing feeling when you sit still and quiet enough. Though this can be frightening at first, it’s totally normal and you’ll get used to the feeling with further mindful practice. Hyperventilation body tingles Another possibility is that your body tingles may be caused by your breathing. If you’re breathing deeply and intensely you may be experiencing a phenomenon known as respiratory alkalosis. Breathing too heavily while meditating can cause a reduction in the CO2 in your blood to a point that causes your blood pH to change. This change can cause tingling and buzzing in your body, often starting with your toes and fingers while working its way up into the body. This can be easily reversed by slowing down your breathing. Vibrating in your forehead If you experience vibrations specifically in your forehead during meditation you may be activating your third eye chakra. This happened to me during a spiritual practice right before I broke into vivid consciousness. Buzzing or vibration in your forehead is a sign of third eye activation. This happens when a lot of bodily and spiritual energy becomes active in this specific energy center of the body. The intensity of this buzzing can often be very uncomfortable. Vibrating in your throat Meditation can cause the awakening of all kinds of energy centers in the body. One such energy center is the throat chakra. If you feel vibrating in your throat you may be opening your throat chakra. This is a rarer symptom of throat chakra activation, but nonetheless does happen. If your throat is buzzing during meditation you can simply mindfully observe it or begin humming along with it to enhance the throat chakra opening. Vibrating in your chest The chest is a common location for vibrations to occur in during meditation. This is because the heart, one of the greatest energy centers in your spiritual system, is located here. You may simply be feeling your heart beating more intensely due to an increase in awareness. But you may also be opening your heart energy center during meditation. It’s a common experience among meditators and often catches them off guard. The opening of your heart chakra can be very intense including symptoms like: When this occurs simply surrender and relax. Allow the heart to open and enjoy the experience. Vibrating in your hips Vibrations in your lower body, base of the spine, and hips are signs of sacral chakra activation. This is also a sign of awakening Kundalini. Your Kundalini is held dormant at the base of the spine and can begin shooting up the body when activated. This can be a very intense vibratory experience. Chakra openings of any kind can cause vibrations in the body, and kundalini can forcibly open up your chakras. It’s entirely possible that your meditation practice can cause this to happen. Kundalini can also manifest itself as body convulsions, shaking, and shivering. An important note about Kundalini If you think you may have accidentally activated your kundalini it’s important to handle it correctly. Mishandled Kundalini can result in Kundalini Syndrome. See my guide to handling an unexpected Kundalini awakening. Your body is preparing for astral projection You may be getting into such a deep meditative state that your consciousness is preparing for an out of body astral experience. The state that comes before astral projection is known as “The Vibratory Stage“. In this stage of the astral projection process your body will begin to intensely vibrate from head to toe. Once in the vibratory stage you can begin visualizing yourself rising from your sleeping body to enter into an out of body experience. This is a very real phenomenon. You can induce this vibratory stage of astral projection in your meditations by practicing VELO (Voluntary Energetic Longitudinal Oscillation). How to handle body vibrations during meditation You have 3 main options when you’re experiencing body vibrations. Not all options are best for every situation. It’s best to discern which is best for yourself. 1. Stop meditating If this is too uncomfortable for you simply stop meditating and try again tomorrow. These vibrations can sometimes be scary and uncomfortable so it’s okay to just stop. Sometimes, stopping meditation won’t work. In that case follow option #2. 2. Surrender to it You have the option of observing and allowing the buzzing in your body. This is my preferred method. This will allow you to figure out what is going exactly and why. Surrendering to the vibrations will also facilitate the flow and eventual dissolution of the energy in your body. 3. Intensify it In some scenarios you may want to intensify and expand the energy and vibrations in your body. This is likely the case if you want to continue into an astral projection experience or if you want to open one of your chakras that is activating. There are specific practices you can do

Shaktipat: How A Guru Can Cause Spiritual Awakening

Shaktipat is a Sanskrit term that refers to the process of spiritual awakening caused by a guru. This phenomenon has been practiced in India for centuries and is still alive today. The word ‘Shaktipat’ is derived from two words, ‘Shakti’ meaning power or energy and ‘pat’ meaning to bestow. Put the two words together and you get the act of bestowing spiritual energy to a disciple by a guru. Each of us has dormant divine energy in us known as Kundalini. In Shaktipat a guru is able to awaken this powerful dormant energy. The awakening of Kundalini then helps you awaken further. The process of Shaktipat involves the transfer of spiritual energy from the guru to the disciple through: A particularly powerful guru may have the ability to help you awaken your Kundalini with just their force of will. The student can experience intense physical and emotional sensations during the process, such as heat, vibrations, and strong emotions. Understanding Shaktipat Historical Context The practice of Shaktipat has been a part of the Hindu spiritual tradition for thousands of years. The earliest references to shaktipat can be found in the Upanishads dating back to around 800 BCE. Over the centuries, Shaktipat has been practiced by various schools of Hinduism, as well as by some branches of Buddhism and Sikhism. The Process of Transmission There are several ways in which shaktipat can be transmitted. In some cases, it is done through touch. A guru may place their hands on the spiritual seeker’s head or heart. It can also be done just through eye contact, where the guru looks into your eyes. Some gurus may use a mantra or meditation to transmit the energy. Sometimes the guru isn’t even present! They simply will it to happen and it activates the awakening in you. The Two Forms of Shaktipat There are two main types of shaktipat: spontaneous and deliberate. Spontaneous shaktipat occurs when the guru’s energy spontaneously activates the disciple’s dormant spiritual energy. This can happen unexpectedly during a random encounter with a guru or during spiritual retreat. Deliberate Shaktipat is a formal process of being initiated by your guru. The seeker may be required to undergo a period of preparation before receiving the transmission. There are also different levels of Shaktipat. Some people experience a mild awakening while others a full-blown kundalini awakening. The intensity of the experience can vary depending on the disciple’s readiness and receptivity, as well as the guru’s level of spiritual enlightenment. It’s important to approach anything around Kundalini with respect and reverence. make sure to seek out a qualified and trustworthy guru who can guide you on your spiritual journey. Shaktipat Symptoms Shaktipat is a powerful spiritual experience that can bring about a range of signs and symptoms. These can include physical sensations such as tingling, heat, and vibrations. You might also experience emotional and mental changes such as heightened awareness, increased intuition, and a sense of inner peace. Some individuals even experience visions or out-of-body experiences. Guru-Disciple Relationship The relationship between a guru and disciple is an essential part of Shaktipat. The relationship must be a deep and profound connection built on trust, respect, and devotion. The guru helps the student navigate their spiritual journey and provides support along the way. In turn, the student offers their dedication and commitment to the guru. This trust in the guru allows the student to surrender to the experience fully. Finding a true guru who you can trust is important for shaktipata to be safe and effective. Shaktipat Challenges While Shaktipat can be transformative and blissful for some, many still struggle with the experience. Some individuals may struggle with the intensity of the experience. Kundalini can be overwhelming causing Kundalini syndrome in those who are not fully prepared for the awakening. Others may have preconceived notions about what Shaktipat is or what it can do, leading to disappointment. It’s important to approach Shaktipat with an open mind and a willingness to surrender to the process. While it may not be for everyone, there’s no doubt it can be an indescribably transformative experience.

7 Major Types of Spiritual Awakening

Spiritual awakening has an air of secrecy around it. What does it really mean to have a spiritual awakening? And are there different types of spiritual awakening? Short answer: Yes, there are several different types of spiritual awakenings you can have. In fact there may even be an infinite number of awakenings that are possible. Including: Here are the most notable and common types of spiritual awakening broken down a bit further. The 7 Major Types of Spiritual Awakening 1. Ego Death Ego death refers to the realization that there is no self. Your individual self identity disappears in the awakening of ego death. Ego death is a common occurrence among psychedelic users. It’s reported to be a feeling of being completely unified with all that exists. The lead up to ego death can be scary as you may actually feel like you are dying. Once you “die” to your identity, you then awaken to your true self which is all that exists in the universe. 2. Kundalini Awakening Kundalini awakening is a form of bodily energetic awakening. Kundalini is a divine energy that resides in the body at the base of the spine. When Kundalini awakens it will feel like a surge of intense energy rushing up your body. This type of awakening is unique because it begins with the body. The rising kundalini will open and activate your bodily energy centers. This will allow you to connect to divine energy much more easily. 3. Top Down Spiritual Awakening A bodily energetic awakening may also begin from the top down. Divine energy may enter in at the crown chakra or third eye chakra and act in a very similar way to a Kundalini awakening. This type of awakening is often how Kundalini awakens for people who are more in their heads and are less grounded. The effects of this type of awakening are similar to Kundalini awakening, however the energy begins in the top chakras. Learn more about top down spiritual awakenings here. 4. Awakening to Love Another type of spiritual awakening is the awakening to love. You can enter into a state of infinite and divine love with specific spiritual practices. This often occurs along side the opening of your heart chakra. Opening your heart chakra and awakening to divine love can feel like a warm sensation in your chest, merging with the feeling of love, orgasmic feelings in the body, and “blissing out”. 5. Non-dual Awakening In the Zen Buddhist tradition, they have a specific type of awakening known as a non-dual awakening. This is the realization that everything is one and that all separation is only an illusion. In a non-dual awakening you awaken to the truth that nothing is separate. In a non dual state of consciousness everything is unified in your experience. There becomes no separation between things like: All is experienced as one in the most profound sense. 6. God as Self Realization There is a profound type of awakening where you realize your own divine nature. This can happen in many ways. One way it can happen is through a non-dual awakening where everything merges in your experience including “God” and “self”. Another way it might happen is through a Kundalini awakening where divine energy literally awakens and surges through your body. 7. Samadhi Samadhi is the highest state of being while still being attached to the body which is achieved through meditation. Samadhi in the yogic traditions refers to the state of being where you merge completely with the divine. You enter into divine consciousness during a samadhi state. This state is said to be very pleasurable and utterly perfect/ peaceful. Overlap between types of Awakening These different types of spiritual awakening are not mutually exclusive. Some awakenings may fall under several of the categories listed above. You might enter into a Samadhi state, but that might also touch much of the same experience as a non-dual awakening. Another example of this is a top down awakening just being a different form of Kundalini energy awakening for example. It’s hard to draw hard borders on spiritual experiences and thinking about awakening requires a bit of nuance. Allow yourself to flow into the grey area between black and white when trying to understand the different types of spiritual awakenings.

Kundalini Syndrome (7 Negative Side Effects of Kundalini)

Activating kundalini has become somewhat of a fad in the spiritual space. Though Kundalini awakening can be an incredibly life transforming process, it isn’t risk free. Many inexperienced seekers that awaken their Kundalini end up experiencing something known as Kundalini Syndrome. This is when you experience negative and sometimes traumatizing side effects from awakening your Kundalini. This tends to happen when individuals don’t have proper knowledge and guidance when activating their Kundalini. What is Kundalini Syndrome? Kundalini syndrome is what can happen when Kundalini awakening goes wrong. Kundalini syndrome is defined by a specific set of negative physical, mental, & emotional symptoms that occurs during and after Kundalini activation. In most cases when done properly there should be no issues with the activation of your Kundalini. Problems arise when spiritual seekers attempt to awaken their Kundalini without proper preparation, knowledge, and guidance. The side effects of mishandled Kundalini can be incredibly uncomfortable, scary, and sometimes even traumatic. People have been sent to the psych ward many times due to an inability to handle a Kundalini awakening. This is why it’s important to do heavy research and preparation before you ever try this on your own. 7 Negative Side Effects of Kundalini There are distinct set of physical and mental symptoms that come alongside Kundalini syndrome. These are the side effects you should be on the look out for if you think you’re suffering from a bad Kundalini awakening experience. 1. Overwhelming Energy Sensations The first and most immediate physical symptom you can experience is energy pulsations and vibrations in the body. Kundalini is a powerful energy that exists in the body. When it is released it will cause feelings of energy shooting throughout the body. Some describe this as: To someone that is unfamiliar with Kundalini, this can be extremely jarring and anxiety inducing. However, energy pulses during an awakening are normal and should be expected. 2. Anxiety And Fear The biggest and initial emotional response you may have to awakened Kundalini is fear and anxiety. As with an intense and major shift in life there will come fear. This Kundalini energy is completely transformative. The experiences that arise in that can be scary. Many people may mistake a Kundalini awakening for a panic attack if they are unfamiliar with the phenomenon. Fear, anxiety, adrenaline, and racing heart are shared symptoms of both panic attacks and Kundalini awakenings. 3. Inability To Sleep The most frustrating negative symptom that I personally experienced from Kundalini awakening was the inability to sleep. After an abundance of energy is released in the Kundalini process you may struggle to sleep. This is completely normal as your body and mind are amped up from the activated Kundalini energy. In most cases, this should only last 1 or 2 nights until your energy levels settle down. Still, not being able to sleep after Kundalini awakening can make you brutally tired and irritable the next day. Can’t sleep after kundalini awakening? Here’s why. 4. Burning Sensations In The Body One of the worst physical symptoms experienced during Kundalini awakening is a burning sensation in the body. Burning sensations have been reported during unexpected awakening experiences. This usually only happens in people that accidentally awaken their Kundalini but haven’t done any spiritual work to open their chakras and align their lives. This burning sensation occurs as the Kundalini energy rises through the body’s chakras and those energy centers are spiritually “gunked up”. The burning sensation is the Kundalini literally burning the gunk up in those areas to open them and flow through them. It is the process that occurs when Kundalini energy must force its way through closed chakras. 5. Sensory Overload After Kundalini is awakened you may find your consciousness is hyper vivid. This heightened awareness can lead to sensory overload. You may experience things like: This is a product of Kundalini energy expanding your awareness. At first the process can be overwhelming, but with time you will come back to a tolerable baseline. 6. Increased Negative Emotions Kundalini awakening may cause trauma and negative emotions to be brought to the surface. This is done to heal these negative aspects of yourself, however when these arise they can be extremely unpleasant. Many people report experiencing emotional turmoil during their awakenings like depression, past trauma arising, and fears. 7. Disconnection From Reality A Kundalini awakening can throw you so much for a loop that you are unsure of what is real and what isn’t. This is one symptom that can lead people to think they’re going crazy. The experience of your Kundalini awakening can cause disorientation. You may be thrust into a completely new way of existing after Kundalini awakening. This can leave you questioning everything. Some report feeling detached and disconnected from their physical bodies after their Kundalini activates. How To Handle Negative Symptoms Their are 2 major things you should know about handling a negative Kundalini awakening. How To Handle An Unexpected Kundalini Awakening 1. Being able to understand Kundalini energy and what it can do for you can make a huge impact in your spiritual journey. Let’s talk everything you need to know about Kundalini awakenings. What Is Kundalini Energy? Kundalini energy is a divine energy that usually lays dormant in the body at the base of the spine. Kundalini energy is a powerful life force energy often known as “shakti” that can flood through your body when activated. When Kundalini energy awakens in the body it can cause powerful transformations and cause an increase in consciousness. This powerful energy is said to lay dormant in the root chakra of most people and most will go their entire lives without their Kundalini activating. The Kundalini Serpent Kundalini comes from the Sanskrit word “Kundal” which means “coiled”. In Hindu literature Kundalini is symbolized as a coiled up serpent sitting at the base of the spine ready to spring up and strike. This coiled imagery symbolizes how Kundalini energy shoots up through the body when it becomes activated. A Kundalini awakening is a form of spiritual awakening, but it is much different than what you might think of as the stereotypical awakening. Most of what we think of when we say “spiritual awakening” is usually a profound spiritual insight that changes our perspective on reality. When a guru activates your Kundalini purely with their own mind, power, and touch it is known as Shaktipata. A guru might not directly trigger an awakening in you, but could also guide you to awaken your own Kundalini. Your guru will know when it’s the right time to awaken your Kundalini and will show you the practices to do so. 4. Is a Kundalini Awakening Permanent?

The question of whether a Kundalini awakening is permanent or temporary is a complex one, as experiences can vary significantly from person to person. For some, the awakening is a gradual process that unfolds over time, while for others, it can be a sudden and intense event. The simple answer is yes, once your kundalini fully awakens it will continue to flow through you for the rest of your life in one manor or another. In some cases you may only experience glimpses of awakenings, but not have a full kundalini awakening. A partial awakening may lead to intermittent spiritual experiences and insights without a complete and sustained transformation. The 2 phases of a Kundalini awakening The initial kundalini energy surge When your kundalini awakens for the first time it may catch you off guard. The symptoms that accompany a kundalini awakening include: As the energy makes it way either up or down your body, depending on where it begins, you may feel these symptoms. > see my article “What is a Top Down Spiritual Awakening?” Though you may have this happen on multiple different occasions, these surges are just a temporary part of the kundalini awakening. Eventually, as the kundalini energy is flowing freely through your body and chakras, these energy surges will subside. The long term effects and changes For those who undergo a full and profound Kundalini awakening, the effects can be long-lasting and permanent. These individuals often report a fundamental shift in their perception of reality and a deep sense of spiritual connection that persists beyond the initial awakening experience. After the initial intense surges die down, you may experience permanent heightened awareness and intuition. Drastic life decisions may also be a long term effect of a kundalini awakening. Some people find that kundalini awakenings cause them to make massive life changes that are more in alignment with their highest selves. How to best manage your kundalini Once your kundalini awakens it generally can’t be “stopped” in the way you might be hoping, however you can learn to manage and work with your kundalini energy. > See my article “How to Handle an Unexpected Kundalini Awakening” The best way to manage your kundalini is to surrender to it at the beginning. As you surrender to it you will find any fear and resistance you initially had will fall away. The next thing you should do when your kundalini awakens is practice grounding exercises. This is anything that can keep you grounded and relaxed. Some exercises include: Conclusion Once a person’s kundalini awakens it will remain active in one way or another for the rest of their lives. Spiritual experiences are different for everyone, so it’s important to listen to your own intuition during this process. Remember to surrender, as this is all part of your spiritual journey. Relax and enjoy the ride!

Though most kundalini awakenings begins with a surge of divine energy starting from the root chakra and working its way up the body, this isn’t the only way. Top down awakenings beginning in the any of the upper chakras are entirely possible. > see my article “What Is A Spiritual Awakening” Top down vs bottom up awakenings The top down awakening Those that experience a top down awakening often have a natural preference or inclination towards understanding the divine from a higher consciousness, less grounded, more mental approach. Top down awakenings usually begin in one of the upper chakras such as the crown chakra, third eye, throat, or heart chakra and emanate out and down the body. When I had my top down awakening it felt as if my third eye was vibrating like crazy. A few moments later a profound feeling of warm energy starting emanating out of my heart chakra and shooting through the rest of my body. I suspect this was the kundalini opening my heart (that’s usually the chakra I struggle most with, as it’s hard for me to open my heart). That’s just one example of what a top down kundalini awakening can look like. The truth is that kundalini awakenings are entirely subjective and can happen in a near infinite amount of ways. The bottom up awakening Conversely, those that experience a bottom up awakening are most likely deeply practical and grounded individuals. Unlike top-downers, bottom-uppers don’t love to intellectualize life, instead they prefer living in the real world and not in their heads. These people approach life from a more earthly connected perspective. This is because bottom up awakenings begin in the root chakra and move upwards. The root chakra is the energy center at the base of your spine that grounds you to earthly reality. Bottom-uppers have a strong connection with their root chakra, keeping them grounded and stable. Bottom up awakenings may be more orgasmic in nature. As the next closest chakra up from the root is the sacral chakra which is responsible for sexual energy. As the kundalini energy passes up into this chakra, sexual pleasure may begin to shoot through the entire body. Issues that arise from top down awakenings Those that experience top down awakenings often don’t feel as grounded as those who have bottom up kundalini awakenings. This can lead to a feeling of anxiety due to detachment from the physical world. You’re consciousness may be so elevated during these experiences you can’t seem to get back down to physical reality again. This can be a very jarring experience, as it was for me the first time I had a top down awakening. If you face fear or mental blocks throughout this process it’s important to remember to surrender. Notice the fear and let go completely during these energy surges. How to manage a top down awakening First of all, know that there’s no right or wrong way to awaken or to have a kundalini awakening. Whether you’re a top downer or a bottom upper, you’re waking up as your were meant to. Know that despite the issues you may encounter, it’s all part of the process. The most important part of handing a kundalini awakening is surrendering to the process. You are being divinely guided, so trust in the process and allow the energy to flow through you. Let go completely, surrender, and allow as much as possible. After top down awakenings its a good idea to practice some grounding exercises such as mindfulness, exercise, walking in nature, and yoga. This will help you reconnect to physical reality. > see my article “How to Handle an Unexpected Kundalini Awakening”

How to Handle an Unexpected Kundalini Awakening

Kundalini energy is some of the most powerful and profound energy your body can contain. I know this because I’ve had a kundalini awakening myself in the beginning of 2023. And yes, it is incredibly intense and can be very scary if you don’t know what you’re dealing with or how to handle a kundalini awakening properly. Here’s what we’re going to cover today: What is a kundalini awakening? Kundalini is a spiritually potent energy that lays dormant in most people. It’s a powerful energy that flows through the chakras of the body, opening up the energy centers and cleaning up the stagnant junk that can accumulate there. When Kundalini awakens it can feel like an intense surge of energy shooting through your body. > see my article “Kundalini Awakening (Everything You Need To Know)” What does a kundalini awakening feel like? Though everyone experiences kundalini a bit differently, there are some universal common symptoms. These include: > see my article “Is a Kundalini Awakening Permanent?” Why and how does kundalini awaken? Why are you having this kundalini awakening? The simple answer is that something triggered the awakening of your kundalini. Well obviously you know that already, but what triggers kundalini you may ask? There are a few ways to think about this. One is that you were simply meant to have your kundalini awakened at this time. It simply could be part of your spiritual journey that was predetermined before your spirit entered into this lifetime. There are also known practices that awaken kundalini energy, though they aren’t usually shared openly by spiritual masters or gurus until they think you are ready to handle it. You may have inadvertently done a meditation or spiritual practice that unlocked this kundalini energy (I say inadvertently, but in the scale of the divine infinite cosmos, this experience was meant to happen whether it was an accident or not). Spiritual clean up What’s the purpose of this kundalini awakening you may ask? In simplest terms its to help clear away the gunk keeping you from spiritually maturing. The energy that pulses through your body in this experience is opening your chakra energy centers in your body. When you surrender to this process and allow the energy to work through you and do what it’s supposed to do, you will be better for it in the end. Kundalini energy gets your spiritual self in tune and awake in your body. It’s the divine part of you waking up and cleaning up the chakras. Bottom up kundalini awakenings Most kundalini awakenings begin from the root chakra at the base of your spine and move up your body. This refers to an awakening process that starts from the base of the spine and progresses upward through the chakras, ultimately reaching the crown chakra at the top of the head. Top down kundalini awakenings Sometimes kundalini energy will begin in other parts of your body. In my case, the energy began in my third eye chakra and moved downwards through my body. Don’t be surprised if this energy begins from any one of your chakras. > see my article “What is a Top Down Spiritual Awakening?” Top down awakenings begin with an activation or opening of the higher chakras, particularly the crown chakra, and then moves downward towards the base of the spine. Some might associate this approach with a more sudden and intense experience, as the powerful energy descends through the chakras. How to handle a kundalini awakening There are 3 keys to getting out of a kundalini awakening in one piece. 1. Surrender, surrender, surrender This is so crucial. The only way out of this experience is by surrendering to it. When you resist the energy you keep the kundalini from doing what it’s meant to do and you will suffer. Resisting the flows of kundalini energy will make the intense experience last longer and keep your chakras closed. When you completely surrender you may end up finding yourself feeling orgasmic bliss. Though some have scary experiences, others that surrender to it actually have a very pleasurable experience as they let the energy flow through them to do its job. The energy is going to go through you whether you want it to or not, so the only logical thing to do is surrender to it. 2. Practice grounding exercises Once the flows of energy calm down you may find yourself hyper aware, anxious, and a bit detached from reality. This is why grounding practices are so important. As the kundalini energy raises your consciousness you’ll need something to keep you attached to reality. Many people have found themselves in psych wards during periods of kundalini energy flows due to loosing touch with reality. The best grounding practices for kundalini awakenings in my opinion are: *warning* do not continue any spiritual exercises that exacerbates your kundalini or that triggered your kundalini to awaken in the first place. 3. Seek help from a mentor Kundalini awakenings can be a truly frightening experience. You may want to seek out a mentor who knows how to handle a situation like this. Their advice will be invaluable. The best places to look for a spiritual mentor are: > see my article “How To Find A Spiritual Mentor” Wrapping up Although kundalini awakenings can be very intense and sometimes scary, it is a natural part of the process of waking up. You’ll be just fine if you surrender and allow the energy to flow through you the way it’s meant to on your journey towards awakening.
